Well, another crazy wacky Michigan winter has drawn to a close. The longer I do this the more I realize no two are ever the same. This has been the coldest winter in 40 years, yet we lost three race dates in Port Huron due to Ice conditions. We saw the Feb. 14 National weekend postponed a week while they had ice but the parking was too soft. In spite of it all, we had five racing opportunities and had higher rider turnouts at every one than we had last year. That's not bad in a year our economy kind of sucks. The Quad riders have really started to come out in good numbers and part of that is more traditional bike riders riding both.
We had to CANCEL the Ice Race Awards Banquet planned on May 16, 2009.
